The Brokis brand was secured in 2006 by Jan Rabell, whose goal was to protect the manual technique from glass memories. Combining the availability of the previously acquired Janštejn Glassworks glassworks, with the use dating back to the 19th century, and perfecting production techniques, with original and almost forgotten recipes for producing glass color, which are now characteristic of the Brokis brand. Currently, Brokis is the main innovator in glass lighting, and the collaboration with Janštejn Glassworks resulted in the creation of Brokisglass - a unique material made of glass shards left after the production of lighting glass. This useful material adds a new dimension and aesthetic, and its various properties make it an excellent choice in architecture, construction and interior and product applications.
