David Trubridge

New Zealand-based David Trubridge is one of the world's most distinguished designers and a recognized leader in environmentally friendly design. Countless, influential international publications of Trubridge's iconic works launched a design trend of "raw sophistication." In 2008, the French magazine Express placed David Trubridge on its list of the 15 best designers in the world. He is also the winner of an Antartica scholarship in 2005, and in 2007 he received the highest design award in New Zealand - the John Britten Award - from the Institute of Designers of New Zealand. The lamps created by Trubridge have an unprecedented and immediately recognizable design, surprising in its simplicity. They are both light and decorative.
