Foscarini

Foscarini was opened in 1981 on the island of Murano, where master glass makers had their headquarters for centuries. The first designs were based exclusively on this material. The company's rapid development opened it to new markets. The company's first significant success was the design of the Lumiere lamp by Rodolfo Dordoni. The designer combined cast metal with Murano glass, which also reflects the combination of the spirit of handwork, craftsmanship and industrial ambitions of the brand. To this day, Lumiere is one of Foscarini's greatest sales successes. Among the iconic products we also find the Orbital lamp from 1992, Havana from 1993, and Mite and Tite by Marc Sadler from 2000, awarded the Compasso d'Oro award. These lamps are still in the Foscarini collection today. The idea of the brand is to create not only lighting, but emotions and mood.
