Founded in 1889 by Swedish entrepreneur Ludvig Anderson, the company grew to become the center of the Swedish textile industry. Kasthall's creative environment has attracted the most outstanding Swedish designers, such as Ingrid Dessau, Viola Gråsten, Astrid Sampe and Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg. Over the years, Kasthall has also gained recognition and received many prestigious awards internationally.
Almost from the moment the company was opened, in 1901, until today, the production of Kasthall carpets takes place at the Kinna Factory, located in the western region of southern Sweden. This is where these luxury rugs are designed, and each rug produced is checked before receiving a hand-signed label. Carpets are made to last a lifetime. All of them are made to order and tailored.
