Founded as a small upholstery workshop in 1973, Sancal has grown to become an international reference in the seating sector thanks to a holistic design vision.
An important step in the development of the brand was cooperation with Juli Capella on a prestigious cultural project for the 1992 Olympic Games. Miguel Milá, one of the most respected Spanish designers, created three emblematic designs for the brand.
In 2007, the second generation joined the company. Esther and Elena Castaño-López brought a fresh perspective, developing more emotional, hedonistic and extroverted designs. The Estudio Sancal they run has grown into a multidisciplinary powerhouse.
The company designs sustainable products with a strong identity, but at the same time customizable, because everything is measured by the diversity of humanity.
