Lambert & Fils is a lighting studio creating original collections in cooperation with emerging designers around the world. Maintaining the designer-work relationship, all lighting is done by hand in the Lambert & Fils atelier in Montreal. This approach to handmade work allows to cross boundaries, from dreaming about the material, through prototyping and creating technology to bringing imagined forms to life.
The beginning of Lambert & Fils dates back to 2010, when Samuel Lambert opened a small store on Rue Beaubien in Montreal. Lambert spent his childhood observing his father, a ceramic artist in his home studio. The legacy came full circle shortly after the birth of youngest Samuel's son, when he began collecting his original designs under a new concept - Lambert & Fils (Lambert & Sons).
Almost ten years later, Lambert & Fils has become one of the most active collaborative design centers in the world. Samuel Lambert continues to lead the studio as an art director. His humility, fascination with materials and commitment to craftsmanship remain at the heart of Lambert & Fils.
