Avavick a stool designed by Katja Pettersson, its inspiration comes from Norrland's snow-covered landscape, sweeping crafts and dialects from the north. Avavick got its name from the Skellefteå target, which means top heavy. The aim was to give the stool an expression with a high seat and neat legs, an attempt to combine the design with craftsmanship and dialect that are falling into oblivion to bring them into the National Museum's archives. Avavick has been developed in collaboration with Swedese's skilled team and is made throughout of the durable material wood with a sound-absorbing textile board under the seat. A petit stool and possible temporary table where many in a pile become like a sculptural object in the room. The stool is part of the collection "En Ny Samling" (A New Collection), which was specially designed for the National Museum's restaurant, which reopened in October 2018.
