The foot is made of chromated metal. Bulb was incorporated into the permanent collection of New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1968. Ingo Maurer's 1966 design is now considered a classic. Ingo Maurer originally selected a 100-watt lamp for design purposes. Lamps with less output are smaller and are not really recommended. The supplied LED string lamp has the right size.
